Transitando is a documentary portrait with the objective of capturing some of the cultural nuances that characterize the region of Alto Adige-Südtirol. Along the last 80 km of Italian ground, Nicolò Degiorgis carries out a research that touches the themes of futility, of encounters and contrasts, where cultural identities are reflected. The images start a dialogue between the ideas and preconceptions of the observer and the realities explored by the photographer.

Talk by Antonio Lampis, director of the Italian cultural department of the Autonomous Province of  Bolzano – Alto Adige

Inauguration of the exhibition Transitando, by Nicolò Degiorgis
This photographic project is a documentary portrait with the objective of collecting certain cultural nuances that distinguish Alto Adige. Passing through the last 80 kilometres of Italian territory, Degiorgis carries forward research on the topics of futility, contrast, cultural stratification, those focal points of a reflection on the identity of a district bordering on another country. The images create a dialogue between the observer's ideas and preconceptions and the realities explored by the photographer.

Chiara Visca; storyteller, actress and Armin Barducci, cartoonist.
In an intertwining of sounds, words and images, the voice of Chiara Visca, the brush strokes of Armin Barducci and the music of Roberta Montisci, will accompany spectators over the Dolomite Mountains on a magic journey into the past in search of the treasure that is the ancient wisdom of their own grass roots.

Mountains set the scene, but the sky above them also plays a part, as do the kingdom of eagles and the hidden territory that sustains them, the kingdom of the marmots.

The legend of “Il regno dei Fanes” tells the story of kings and queens, heroes and heroines, witches and wizards, animals and magic creatures in a fabric of alliances, witchcraft and the typical battles of Nordic sagas, but also and profoundly, of the feelings, fears and courage of mankind and the people of the mountains.

Satiek explores a repertoire based on jazz and contemporary re-arranged compositions from Italian and French songs reinterpreted in an eclectic key and compositions of popular and folklorist origins reinterpreted with original arrangements. The trio will also explore songs and melodies from the Balkans and the Mediterranean area, moving from song to free improvisation in a sonorous journey that alternates between an intimate and warm atmosphere and energetic, wild and daring rhythms.
